Daniel E. Haslam, 63, died unexpectedly at home in Stoughton on Tuesday, February 14. He was the husband of the late Eilleen (Conley) Haslam. Born in Roxbury, he was educated in Roxbury and N. Quincy Schools and graduated from Quincy Vocational Technical High School. He was an U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam Era. Mr. Haslam was a resident of Stoughton for 37 years. He was an electrician with the Local 103 in Boston, working at Lord Electric for 20 years, City Lights for 6 years and John A. Penney Electric in Cambridge before retiring in 2005. He was a member of the AMVETS and was a volunteer with the Disabled Veterans. He was an honorary member of the VFW and Sons of Italy in Stoughton and the Knights of Columbus in Canton. He was a volunteer firefighter in Quincy as a youth. In his free time he enjoyed playing the lottery, sports, especially the Red Sox and Patriots and worked security for the Patriots.

Mr. Haslam is survived by his children, Daniel E. Haslam, Jr. of Abington and Laurie J. Haslam of Stoughton as well as his grandchildren, Patrick D. Holmes, Sean M. Holmes and Daniel E. Haslam, III. He was the brother of Edwin Haslam of FL, Ronald Haslam of Waltham, Paul Varney of PA, Pete Varney of Acton, Jenny Ross of Quincy, Sheila Howard of Weymouth and the late Kenneth and Patricia Haslam. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday at 8:45 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Friday 4-8 PM. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Stoughton.
