Cristina D. Fonseca, 95, a resident of Brockton, died peacefully on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Joaquim A. Duarte. Born and raised in Terceira, Azores, Portugal, she resided in Toronto, Canada for 40 years before moving to Brockton 5 years ago. Cristina was a seamstress for many years. She was active in Senior Housing as well as with the Chapel at Senior Housing in Toronto. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and embroidery.

Cristina is survived by her daughter, Maria R. Vieira and her husband Nuno of Brockton, as well as her grandsons, Paul D. Vieira and his wife Kim and Victor D. Vieira and his wife Andrea, and her great-grandchildren, P.J. Vieira, Sara Vieira, Lindsay Vieira and Ryan Vieira. She is also survived by 2 nieces and a nephew.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Brockton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Friday from 5-7 PM. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
