Constantino Spiliakos, 94, died Monday, March 19, 2018, at the McCarthy Care Center in Sandwich, after a period of declining health. He was the husband of 68 years of Helen (Minakakis) Spiliakos. Born, raised and educated in Vresthera, Sparta, Greece, he lived in Vresthera until the age of 45. He came to the United States in 1969 and settled in Springfield, where he lived for several years. Mr. Spiliakos was a resident of Norton since 1982. While living in Greece, he worked as a farmer. After coming to the United States, he worked in the Restaurant industry for many years. He was a member of the Society of Vresthena in Boston. In his free time, he enjoyed planting trees, shrubs and plants and tending to his garden.
Mr. Spiliakos was the father of Maria Orfanos and her husband the late Nicholas of Norton and the late Pandelis "Peter" Spiliakos and his beloved wife Stacia Spiliakos of Easton. He was the grandfather of Demetra Orfanos, Kosta Spiliakos and Ari Spiliakos. He was the brother of the late Garifalia Lekaki, Constantina Rahioti, Maria Vreonaki, Stamata Zohios, Vasiliki Spiropoulos and Katina Spiliakos. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held in the Saint Gregory the Theologian Greek Orthodox Church, 1007 West Street, Mansfield, 02048 on Saturday at 10:30 AM. Visiting hours will be held in the church prior to the services from 9:30AM-10:30AM. Interment will take place at Canton Corner Cemetery, Canton.
