Constance M. (Mamas) Pozzo, 72, a longtime resident of North Easton, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 26 at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. She was the loving wife of William M. Pozzo for 45 years. Daughter of the late Leo and Georgia (Mattis) Mamas, she was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. Connie was a graduate of Upper Arlington High School, Class of 1959 and Ohio State University, Class of 1963. She was a resident of North Easton since 1972. Mrs. Pozzo was a beloved school teacher at Parkview Elementary School in Easton for 15 years before retiring in 2000. She was a former member of the Easton School Committee and the Richardson and Olmsted School Building Committee. Connie was a member of St. Gregory's Greek Orthodox Church in Mansfield. She loved Boston and Cape Cod, especially family vacations in Falmouth and her greatest joys were taking care of her grandchildren and spending time with her family and many friends.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Pozzo is survived by her children, Suzanne G. Bernstein and her husband Joel of Franklin, Lori J. Santaniello and her husband Eric of Cold Spring, NY and Mark W. Pozzo and his wife Cilla of Easton, as well as her grandchildren, Sam and Sarah Bernstein, Alexis Santaniello, Jack and Dylan Pozzo. She is also survived by her brothers, Dean Mamas of Florida and Harry Mamas of North Carolina, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral Service will be held from the Covenant Congregational Church, 204 Center St., N. Easton on Wednesday, April 2 at 10 AM. Visiting hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Tuesday from 3-7 PM. Interment will be private.
