Conceicao (Coelho) DoVale, 94, a resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at the Blue Hills Alzheimer's Center on Saturday, January 4, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Manuel R. DoVale. Daughter of the late Manuel & Filomena Coelho, she was born and educated in Madeira, Portugal and moved to Stoughton in 1962. Conceicao worked for many years as an assembler for Corcoran Shoe before retiring in 1990. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, telling stories to her grandchildren and was known for her personality. More than anything, she enjoyed making people laugh.
Conceicao was the loving mother of Tony and his wife Mary of Stoughton, Charlie and his wife Marie of Plymouth, Mary Correia and her husband Jordan of Stoughton, Dennis and his wife Susan of Stoughton, Benny and his wife Maria of Taunton and the late Jose. She was the beloved grandmother of 11 grandchildren, Lisa, Jimmy, Vicky, Michelle, Stacey, Joshua, Janessa, Nicole, Tiffany, Lauren and Skyla and beloved great-grandmother of 14 great-grandchildren. She was the cherished sister of Antonio Coelho of Portugal, Isaura de Freitas of Australia and the late Matilde Correia, Maria Coelho and Bernadinho Coelho.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rte. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, January 9 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday from 4-7 PM. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
