Claire F. (Boudreau) Spaulding, 78, a longtime resident of Abington, died peacefully at Copley at Stoughton on Thursday, September 10, 2015. She was the wife of the late Harlan Spaulding. Born in Boston, she was raised in Whitman and graduated from Whitman-Hanson High School, Class of 1956. She was a resident of Abington for the past 50 years. Mrs. Spaulding was a secretary at Bostonian Shoe in Whitman for 10 years and then at Barbour Welting Company in Brockton for 10 years before retiring over 10 years ago. She enjoyed traveling, reading and spending time with her family.
Claire is survived by her daughters, Cathleen M. Fitzgerald and her husband Richard of Stoughton and Brenda J. Corrigan and her husband Kenneth of Hanson. She was the grandmother of Frank Davey, Kaitlyn and Kerry Fitzgerald and Nicholas Corrigan. She was the sister of Eleanor Howe and her husband James of Whitman and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Prayers will be offered in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, September 14 at 12 PM. Visiting Hours prior from 11 AM - 12 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Claire's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Assn., 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
