Claire L. (Hooper) Russell

Claire L. (Hooper) Russell, 77, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at Copley at Stoughton on Saturday, October 8, 2016. She was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1957. Claire was a Nursing Assistant at Goddard Hospital in Stoughton for 38 years before retiring 12 years ago. An avid Boston sports fan, she also enjoyed her morning trips to Dunkin Donuts and spending time in Onset and South Yarmouth.

Claire is survived by her children, Michael J. Russell and his wife Bonnie and Kevin F. Russell and his wife Sherri all of Stoughton, John P. Russell and his wife Val and Theresa A. Russell all of North Easton and Donna L. Mueller and her husband John of Abington. She was the daughter of the late Wilfred F. Hooper and the sister of the late Joan Marks. She is also survived by her longtime companion, James R. Densmore of Stoughton as well as 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and 2 nieces.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, October 15 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Friday from 4-8 PM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton. Donations in Claire's memory may be made to the Jimmy Fund, PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284.
