Claire G. (Coughlin) Gaudet

Claire G. (Coughlin) Gaudet, 89, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died unexpectedly at Brockton Hospital on Friday, June 24, 2016. She was the wife of the late Gerald V. Gaudet. Born in Boston, she was raised and educated in South Boston. She resided in Stoughton for over 50 years. Claire was a homemaker. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, shopping, trips to D.W. Field Park in Brockton, the beach and Castle Island and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Gaudet was the aunt of Alice McKain and Darlene Smith both of Stoughton and the late Denise Birchmore and Stephen Gaudet. She was the grandmother of Sandra Birchmore and Gerald Smith. She was the sister of Marilyn Scott of New Hampshire, Evelyn Pirozzi of Belmont and the late Alice Strausbaugh, Barbara Dickerson and Grace McKain and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be held in the Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, June 30 at 10:30 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Claire's memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 300 5th Avenue, Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451-8750.
