Claire M. (Kennedy) Canavan

Claire M. (Kennedy) Canavan, 97, long time resident of Stoughton, died peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, September 21, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Claire was the wife of the late Joseph F. Canavan, mother of Mary Canavan of Watertown, Roseanne Dolan of Wollaston, Joseph Canavan of Framingham, Carolyn Weyneth of Sharon, and Peter Canavan of Brockton. Grandmother of Jason Hill, Barrett Weyneth, Travis Weyneth, Gabriel Canavan, Daniel Dolan, Chrystina Dolan, Timothy Dolan, and Grace Canavan; great grandmother of Sean Canavan, Emma Canavan, and Ronan Hill. Claire was a proud graduate of Boston University's class of 1941, where she enjoyed her continued relationship through active participation in the Boston University Medical Student Education Program. In her free time, Claire enjoyed traveling, reading, decorating, and spending time with her family.

Visiting hours will be held at Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27), Stoughton on Sunday, September 25th from 3-6 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Church 122 Canton St. in Stoughton on Monday, September 26th at 10:30 AM. Family and friends are welcome to gather at Farley Funeral Home at 9:30 AM on Monday, September 26.
