Christopher Thomas, 54, died unexpectedly on Saturday, October 29, after being stricken ill at his home in Lakeville. He was the husband of 20 years of Lisa J. (Nelson) Thomas. Born in Stoughton, he was raised in Stoughton and Brockton and was a graduate of Brockton High School, Class of 1979. He was a Veteran of the US Air Force. Mr. Thomas was a resident of Lakeville since 1989. He worked as a Parts Consultant for Sullivan Brothers Nissan in Kingston for the past 3 years and has worked in the Auto Industry for many years at several area dealerships, including Muzi Ford and Good Brothers Ford. He was a devoted uncle and great uncle who loved family parties and gatherings where everyone enjoyed his witty personality. Chris traveled to Aruba every year with his wife and enjoyed snorkeling while there. He was a voracious reader and movie watcher who loved quoting movies and movie trivia. In his free time, he enjoyed tending to his Koi pond, riding his Harley Davidson and spending time at the beach.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his siblings; Richard P. Lonergan and his wife Maryann of N. Attleboro, Paul R. Thomas and his wife Karen of E. Bridgewater, Jeffrey M. Thomas and his wife Patricia of Easton, Glen Thomas and Brenda Thomas both of Western MA. He was predeceased by his parents Arthur "Kenneth" Thomas and Doris M. (Buckland) Thomas, and his siblings, Kenneth G. Thomas, David J. Thomas, Jean V. Campbell and Scotty Thomas. Chris was a devoted son-in-law to William Nelson and Charlotte Nelson of North Dartmouth and the brother-in-law of Ann-Marie Hinkley and her husband Richard of New Bedford. He is also survived by his lifelong friend Paul Faith and his wife Mamie of Middleboro and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, November 5 at 11 AM. Visiting Hours prior to the services from 9-11 PM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
