Christine C. (DelMonico) Sandler, 80, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston on Saturday, November 8, 2014. She was the devoted wife of 60 years of Charles Sandler. Daughter of the late Georgene and Carmella (Traficante) DelMonico, she was born and raised in Boston. Mrs. Sandler was a graduate of Girls Trade School of Boston, which would lead her to become the first ever Woman Tool Keeper of Dorchester High School. She loved to crochet, cook, clean, dance and take care of her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Christine is survived by her loving daughters, Rhonda J. Frank and Lisa M. Sandler both of Stoughton, as well as her beloved grandchildren, Erika Frank (owner and artistic director of The Conservatory School for the Performing Arts, LLC in Stoughton), Gregory Frank, Joshua Frank and Jillian Sandler Astore all of Stoughton. She was the sister of the late James DelMonico and his late wife Mary and the late Panfilo DelMonico and his late wife Mary. She was the sister-in-law to Virginia and Jack Farrell of FL. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.
Funeral will be held from Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday at 11:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 12:00 Noon. Visiting Hours Wednesday from 4-9 PM. Entombment will take place at the St. Michael Community Mausoleum, Boston.
