Christine J. Donovan, 51, a lifelong resident of Brockton, died peacefully at home on Sunday, January 12, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of Joanne P. (McDermott) Donovan of Brockton and the late Paul F. Donovan. She was a graduate of Brockton High School, Class of 1986 and Stonehill College, Class of 1990. Christine was an analyst with New England State Police Information Network (NESPIN) in Franklin for over 20 years. She was a longtime volunteer at Hancock Elementary School in Brockton. An avid Boston sports fan, she also enjoyed traveling. She was known for her homemade chocolate chip cookies and her shoe collection was second to none.
In addition to her mother, Christine is survived by her siblings, Maryann D. Clifford and her husband Richard of Marshfield, Jeanmarie Foley and her husband Robert and Karen M. Donovan-Chismer and her husband Robert all of Brockton and Paul F. "Chip" Donovan and his wife Laura of West Bridgewater. She was the aunt of Abby and Olivia Clifford, Keri, Meghan and Ryan Foley, Alyson and Riley Donovan and Tyler, Emily and Bridget Chismer and the great-aunt of Kaedyn Foley.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Chapel at Stonehill College, 320 Washington St., Easton on Saturday, January 18 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rte. 27) Stoughton on Friday from 3-7 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, Christine's family requests donations go to the students at Hancock Elementary School, Attn: PTA, 125 Pearl St., Brockton, MA 02301.
