Cheryl F. (Choo-Hum) Yong

Cheryl F. (Choo-Hum) Yong, 70, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at home on Thursday, January 7, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Gregory A. Yong for 42 years. Daughter of the late Robert and Celestine (Serrao) Choo-Hum, she was born and raised in Georgetown, Guyana. She resided in Stoughton since 1986. Cheryl was a homemaker. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, Cheryl is survived by her children, Nicole S. Yong of Easton, Christopher A. Yong and his wife Alissa and Mark A. Yong and his wife Theeda all of Stoughton as well as her grandchildren, Alexa, Alina, Caleb and Luna Yong. She was the sister of Jennifer Lee of Miami, FL, Margo Singh of Georgetown, Guyana and Michael Choo-Hum and Brian Choo-Hum both of Toronto, Canada. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, funeral services are private. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton. Donations in Cheryl's memory may be made to Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton Street, Stoughton, MA 02072.
