Cheryl Jean (Connors) McNamara

Cheryl Jean (Connors) McNamara, 60, a lifelong resident of Brockton, died peacefully at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston on Monday, July 31, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.  She was the wife of Robert J. McNamara for 33 years. Daughter of the late Francis N. “Duddy” and Dorothy (Braese) “MamaDot” Connors, she was born in Boston and raised in Brockton. She was a graduate of Brockton High School, Class of 1981. Cheryl was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, walking her dog at Oliver Ames Park in Easton and trips to the White Mountains where she loved the wildlife, especially moose and deer. She also enjoyed leaf peeping and decorating her house seasonally but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, Cheryl is survived by her children, Heather P. McNamara and her fiancé Steven Perry and Matthew R. McNamara and his fiancé Lindsey Nordstrom all of Brockton as well as her grandson, Marley McNamara. She was the sister of Patricia Wright of Old Orchard Beach, ME and Karen Zamagni of Hanson and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
