Charlotte May Matthews

Charlotte May (MacDougall) Matthews, 91, a longtime resident of Stoughton and Bridgewater, died January 11, 2015, at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Ivory B. "Mike" Matthews. Born in Haverhill, she was raised and educated in Stoughton and was a graduate of Stoughton Schools, class of 1941. She was a resident of Stoughton for the past 10 years after living and raising her family in Bridgewater for many years. She was a dedicated homemaker to her family.
She was the loving mother to four children, Judith "Judy" Ledin Cioni, Blanche "Bea" Procida, William A. "Bill" Matthews and Marion Lee Carney. She was the grandmother of Eric W. Ledin, Trevor C. Ledin, Matthew R. Ledin, Suzanne M. Procida, Paul J. Procida, Tammy Burke and Timothy E. Procida and the great grandmother of 10. She also leaves behind many loving close friendships.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date and scheduled for the spring.
