Charlotte (Bartel) Letowski

Charlotte (Bartel) Letowski, 89, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died Sunday, July 1, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, after a short period of failing health. She was the wife of the late George W. Lewowski. Daughter of the late Max and Anna Bartel, she was born, raised and educated in Germany and emigrated to the United States in 1949 and settled in Boston. She later moved to Stoughton where she made her home for over 58 years. Mrs. Letowski worked as a waitress at Friendly's in Dedham for over 40 years, retiring many years ago. She was an active member of the German Club of Walpole and proudly displayed the bowling trophies she won as a member of the West Stoughton Civic Association. Mrs. Letowski also loved cooking, baking and gardening. She will be most remembered as a kind and loving person who put her family before everything.

Charlotte was the beloved mother of Christine Noonan and the late Ronald Letowski. She was the loving Oma of Sean Noonan, Michelle Noonan and Craig Letowski. She was also the special Omi to her great grandchildren; Baker and Sam Noonan, Sarah Horner and Gus Letowski. She was predeceased by her sister Inge Nelhuebel.

Funeral Prayers will be offered in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, July 6 at 11:30 AM. Visiting Hours will be held prior to the prayers from 10:30-11:30 AM. Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations in Charlotte's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverly Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452.
