Charles V. Charlie Minichiello

Charles V. "Charlie" Minichiello, 95, died Saturday, September 6, 2014, in Stoughton, after a period of failing health. He was the husband of 73 years of Geraldine (Finn) Minichiello. Born in Boston's West End, he was raised and educated there. For many years he lived in Winthrop where he raised his family. Later in life, he and his wife lived in Sharon and Stoughton with their children. Mr. Minichiello was a graduate of Bentley School of Accounting. He worked for his family restaurant (Mass Spa) and grocery store (Evergood) in the West End for many years, before becoming a tax accountant for Hale & Dorr in Boston. He enjoyed working for Hale & Dorr for over 20 years, retiring at age 73. His passions in life were family, work and golf.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Charles "Chuck" Minichiello, Jr. and his wife Virginia of Carthage NC, Annette Galley of Stoughton, and Gerry Minichiello of NY. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. An original "West Ender" of Boston, Charlie was one of 10 children of Carmen and Concetta Minichiello and is survived by his brothers, Richard of Winthrop MA and Robert of Blauvelt NY.
Funeral arrangements are private. A memorial celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
