Charles P. Lamplough, 73, died unexpectedly at home in Stoughton on Sunday, November 20. He was the husband of Diane C. (Barbaglia) Lamplough. Born in Boston, he was educated in Somerville schools and Mass. Radio School in Boston. He resided in Stoughton for 45 years. Mr. Lamplough was an U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was an Engineer at Northrup Co. in Norwood for many years before retiring in 1996. In his free time he enjoyed fishing and fly-tying. He was also a longtime Santa at area functions.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Lamplough is survived by his daughters, Michele Ducott and Valerie Stark both of VT and Kimberly Crespi of Halifax and his son, Charles "Buddy" Lamplough of Stoughton. He was the grandfather of Gary, Sean and Crystal Ducott, Katelyn and Hillary Gray, Richard and Samantha Crespi, Heather, Emily and Lillian Lamplough. He was the brother of Anne Ferrina of Somerville.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, November 26 at 7:45 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church, Stoughton at 8:30 AM. Visiting Hours Friday 5-8 PM. Donations in Charles' name may be made to the charity of your choice. Burial will be at VA National Cemetery, Bourne on Monday at 10 AM.
