Charles Hannaford, 69, died Thursday, March 27, at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston after a period of failing health. He was the wife of Sandra I. (Zarthar) Hannaford. Born in Norwood, he was a graduate of Stoughton Schools. Mr. Hannaford was also a graduate of Wentworth Institute and Northeastern University. He was a member of the Army National Guard. He worked as a Mechanical Engineer for Raytheon in Sudbury for many years, retiring one year ago. In his free time, he enjoyed music, history and airplanes.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his 5 children, Kathryn E. Nogueira of NH, Pamela A. Hannaford of Medway, Robyn C. Duhamel of Sharon, Charles J. Hannaford of Stoughton and John R. Hannaford of Allston. He was the brother of David Hannaford of Sharon and Patricia Reid of Stoughton. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday, April 1 at 8:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. John Chrysostom Church, 4750 Washington St., West Roxbury at 10 AM.
