Charles C. Hagerty, 52, died April 21, 2015 at home in Randolph. He was the youngest son of the late Martin L. and Madeline G. (Grady) Hagerty. Born in Boston, he was raised in Lexington and was a graduate of Lexington High and attended Curry College. Mr. Hagerty was a loyal member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 4, having worked on such major infrastructure projects as the widening of Rt. 3 and the "Big Dig." In his youth he enjoyed motocross, trucks and RVs. He had a quick wit, a fondness for cigars and was very proud of his Irish American heritage.
Mr. Hagerty is survived by his brother George A. Hagerty and his wife Jacki Elgar of Stoughton. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother William D. Hagerty. He is also survived by his niece Kaitlin Elwood and many cousins.
