Charles H. Fallon, Sr., 69, a longtime resident of Stoughton and Retired Firefighter for the Town of Stoughton, died Thursday, March 1, 2018, at his home in Stoughton, after a courageous battle with pulmonary hypertension. He was the beloved husband of 42 years of Judith A. (Garrick) Fallon. Born in Boston, he raised and educated in Stoughton and was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1966. Mr. Fallon was also a graduate of Massasoit Community College with a degree in Fire Service. He served in the U.S. Army and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked as a firefighter and EMT for the Town of Stoughton for many years, retiring in 1996. He also was a gifted carpenter and founder of C. H. Fallon and Sons Construction in Stoughton. Mr. Fallon was a member of the Professional Fire Fighters of Massachusetts, Local 1512 and the CW Welch Fish & Game both in Stoughton. Charlie was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed his Newfoundlands, camping with his family and fishing with his sons. In his free time, he loved to spend time surrounded by his beloved family at his home and pool.
In addition to his wife, Charlie is survived by his three sons, Charles H. Fallon, Jr. and his wife Kathy, Sean D. Fallon, Canton FD, and his wife Stacey, all of Stoughton and Jerome M. Fallon of Boston. He was the brother of John W. "Stretch" Fallon, Stoughton FD Ret., of Stoughton, Ann F. Swanson of Taunton and Mary E. Kelley of Somerset. He was the son of the late John W. "Howie" Fallon and Mary (MacDonald) Fallon. He is also survived by his two granddaughters, Sophia and Grace Fallon and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27), Stoughton on Tuesday, March 6 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Monday from 4-7 PM. Interment will take place at Dry Pond Cemetery, Stoughton.
