Charles W. Cash

Charles W. Cash, 84, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at Southeast Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center on Saturday, October 5. Born in Boston, he was raised and educated in Canton. He also attended Northeastern University. He was a resident of Stoughton for over 50 years. Mr. Cash was a Petty Officer 2nd Class Construction Mechanic in the U.S. Navy and a Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a machinist in the area and a manager at Town Spa Pizza in Stoughton for over 45 years before retiring in February, 2013. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 200, the VFW Post 1645 and the AMVETS Post 1977 all in Stoughton. He enjoyed deep sea fishing and fishing the lakes around Colebrook, NH with family and friends.

Mr. Cash is survived by his children, George P. Cash and his wife Fran of Gettysburg, PA, Donna I. Burrill and her husband Peter of Norton, Charles R. Cash of Stoughton and Philip J. Cash of West Bridgewater. He was the grandfather of Christopher, Timothy and Ian Burrill, Jamie Lee, Samantha and Melissa Cash, David Rentzel and his wife Kara of New Oxford, PA and the late Christine Cash. He was the brother of Albert Cash of Stoughton and Jack Cash of Canton and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Thursday, October 10 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday from 4-7 PM. Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations in Charles' memory may be made to the Stoughton Visiting Nurses Association, 10 Pearl St., Stoughton, MA 02072.
