Charles A. Blaizis, 61, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at Braintree Rehabilitation Hospital on Saturday, November 26, 2016 after a 6 month battle with brain cancer. He was the husband of Lynn C. (Horrigan) Blaizis for 33 years. Born in Norwood, he was the son of the late Joseph J. and Anna D. Blaizis. He graduated from Stoughton High School, Class of 1973 and attended Seminole Community College in Florida. Charlie was a mechanic and welder for the Stoughton Department of Public Works for 13 years. He had previously worked for Evergreen Cemetery in Stoughton for 14 years and was a pizza cook at Denneno's Pizza in Stoughton for several years. Charlie was an avid sports fan who especially enjoyed golf, NASCAR and watching Survivor. He was a member of the Farley Calendar Club.
In addition to his wife, Charlie is survived by his daughters, Colleen M. Garland of Brockton and Barbara A. Blaizis of Bradford, as well as his grandchildren, Charles Garland and Courtnie Garland. He was the brother of Stephen Blaizis, Craig Blaizis of Brockton and the late John Blaizis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Private Funeral Services were held. In lieu of flowers or donations, Charlie requests that you treat your loved one to a special time.
