Catherine Coakley Wellington

Catherine P. (Coakley) Wellington, 89, died Saturday, December 17, at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. Born and raised in Malden, she was a longtime resident of Malden and was a graduate of Malden Schools. She worked as a bookkeeper for the Belmont Savings Bank for over 10 years, retiring many years ago. She also volunteered in the Malden Library and in the Malden School System. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children; Laurel A. Wellington of CA, Claudia Wellington of Milton, T. Scott Wellington of Stoughton, Paula C. Davoli of Lakeville and Lisa M. Wellington of Middleboro. Sister of John Coakley and Bernadette Toth both of OH, William Coakley of FL and the late Miriam Stagliano, Margaret Fougere and Mitzi Coleman. Grandmother of Cathryn and Danny Fukuba, Christopher and Katie Flynn, Shelby Bukhenik and Tommy Wellington, Jessica, Nicholas and Jared Davoli. Great Grandmother of Emma and Isabelle Bukhenik. Also survived by 29 nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Wednesday at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday from 5-8 PM. Donations in Catherine's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Assn, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, 02472.
