Catherine E. (Erminy) Sarados, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at Copley at Stoughton on Tuesday, December 23, 2014. She was the wife of George S. Sarados for 45 years. Born and raised in Richmond, VA, she was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in Richmond and the Pan American Business School. She was a resident of Stoughton and Canton for the past 45 years. Mrs. Sarados was a secretary for the International Monetary Fund in Washington, DC before retiring 45 years ago. She was a Past President of the Philoptochos Women's Guild at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Weston. She was a founder of St. Gregory the Theologian Orthodox Church in Mansfield. An avid gardener, Catherine was a former member of the Canton Garden Club and served as the treasurer.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Sarados is survived by her brother, Diamond E. Erminy and his wife Mina and her sister, Keke Lampros and her late husband Thomas all of Richmond, VA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, December 29 at 9:45 AM followed by a Funeral Service at St. Gregory the Theologian Greek Orthodox Church, Mansfield at 11 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday 2-4 PM. Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
