Catherine P. (Duggan) Mooney

Catherine P. (Duggan) Mooney, 90, died March 30, 2017, at the Arbors of Taunton in Taunton after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Edmund A. Mooney. Born and raised in Stoughton, she was a graduate of Stoughton Schools and also attended Boston University. She was a longtime resident of Stoughton and lived in East Bridgewater for several years. She worked as an Administrative Aide at Massasoit Community College in Brockton for many years, retiring at age 75. Mrs. Mooney was a former member of the Stoughton Young Woman's Club and the Immaculate Conception Church Building Committee. She was an avid traveler who enjoyed golfing, dancing, listening to big band music and spending time with her many cherished friends and her family.

Mrs. Mooney was the mother of Karen E. Mullaney, Kenneth J. Mooney and Kyle P. Mooney and his wife Corleene all of FL, Kevin E. Mooney and his wife Jane of Stoughton, Kirk G. Mooney and his wife Diane of GA and Kathleen Mancinelli and her husband Paul of West Bridgewater. She was the sister of the late Joseph Duggan and Dorothy Kearns. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, April 3, at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday, April 2, from 2-5 PM. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
