Carolyn A. (Clark) McMakin

Carolyn A. (Clark) McMakin, 78, died Thursday, December 24, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a period of failing health. Born and raised in Stoughton, she attended St. Mary's School. Mrs. McMakin was a resident of Easton for the past 22 years. She worked as an Administrative Assistant for Eaton Vance in Boston for over 15 years, retiring at age 64. She was a longtime communicant of Holy Cross Church in Easton. In her free time, she enjoyed walking, traveling, reading and spending time with her family.

She was the beloved mother of Gerard F. McMakin and his wife the late Darlene of Berkley, Mary Lou Hocking of Easton, Claire M. McMakin of Fall River, Arthur M. McMakin Jr. of Easton, Paul J. McMakin and Joseph E. McMakin and his wife Natalie all of Brockton and Janee E. Skomial and her husband Aaron of MI. She was the sister of Richard Clark of FL, Mary Clark of Taunton, Joseph Clark of Stoughton and the late Jean Durling, Claire Clark, Barbara Yonker, Robert Clark, William Clark and Paul Clark. She was the grandmother of Alison, Daniel, Christopher, Theresa, Brian, Brittany, Ryan, Katie, Alicia, Justin and the late Rickey. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday from 4-8 PM. Burial will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton. Donations in memory may be made to the Boston Carmelite Nuns. 61 Mount Pleasant Ave., Roxbury, MA 02119.
