Carol A. (Leavitt) Rich, 69, died Monday, December 2, 2019, unexpectedly at her home in Brockton. Born in Boston, she was raised and educated in Sharon and was a graduate of Sharon High School, Class of 1968. She was a resident of Brockton since 1973. Mrs. Rich was a dedicated housekeeper at the Copley at Stoughton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Stoughton for the past 3 years, previously working at the Braemoor Nursing Home in Brockton for over 30 years. Carol was hard working, dependable and took great pride in her work and recently received a citation for her years of perfect attendance at work. She cherished the daily interactions with the patients and staff at both The Copley and Braemoor Nursing Homes. Carol was known for her friendly demeanor and jangling bracelets. She enjoyed spending weekends away with friends in Maine and Cape Cod and also looked forward to her trips on the ferry from Plymouth to Provincetown every summer. In her free time, she enjoyed shopping for others and spending time with her family and friends.
Mrs. Rich is survived by her beloved son Benjamin A Rich and his wife Terrie of Middleboro. She was the grandmother of Amanda Ebbs of NC and the great grandmother of Ryder Bass. She is also survived by her devoted cousin Gary Parker and his wife Lee of ME.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rte. 27) Stoughton on Sunday, December 8, 2019, from 1-4 PM, followed by Family Reflections at 4 PM. Donations in Carol's memory may be made to the Copley Activity Fund, 380 Sumner St., Stoughton, 02072.
