Carol F.(Phillips), Kosinski 79, of Stoughton, died Saturday, September 24 at the Epoch Senior Health Care Center in Norton after a period of failing health. Born in Avon, she was educated in Avon Schools and lived there for 24 years. She was a resident of Stoughton for 35 years and North Easton for 19 years before moving back to Stoughton. Carol was a dedicated homemaker and mother to her children. She worked as a Switchboard operator at Goddard Memorial Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital for over 20 years, previously working as a cashier at Bob's Foodmart in Stoughton. She was a lifetime member of the Avon Baptist Church where she was very active and a member of the women's Friendly Guild. She was also a member of the Avon Garden Club. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, baking, cake decorating, bingo, line dancing and spending time with friends and family.
She was the beloved mother of Alan D. Kosinski and his wife Becky Fetterman of Plymouth, Janis M. Aten and her husband Norris of Avon, Sally J. Partington and her husband Stu of N. Easton, Kathy L. Nelson and her husband Harry of Norton. She was the cherished grandmother of Charissa Pemper and her husband Norman, Rachael & Tyler Partington and Kelly Nelson. She was the Great Grandmother of Aurora Pemper.
She was predeceased by her parents Albert and Lillian (Moffatt) Phillips, her former husband Walter Kosinski and her siblings Henry Phillips, Barbara Chase, Marion Lundin, and Marjorie DePatra.
Funeral Services will be held in the Avon Baptist Church,119 N. Main St., Avon, on Wednesday, September 28, at 11AM. Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Tuesday from 5-8 PM. Burial will take place at Union Cemetery, Holbrook.
