Carol A. (MacKenzie) Kell, 72, died March 26, 2014 at the Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston after a short illness. Born in Boston, she was raised and educated in Hyde Park. Mrs. Kell was a resident of Stoughton since 1974. She worked as a Hairdresser at the Shear Cropper in Brockton for many years, retiring 14 years ago. An avid fan of the Boston Red Sox, in her free time she enjoyed crocheting, watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, spending time at Whitehorse Beach and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her four daughters: Dawn M. Szum and her husband Joseph and Robin M. Kell and her fianc Jamie Totman all of Stoughton, Lisa J. Kenney and her husband Jerry and Cara L. Harris and her companion Rob Citrano all of Easton. She was the sister of Colin "Chuck" MacKenzie, Jr. of Stoughton. She was the grandmother of Jason Kell, Jessica and Nicholas Szum, Stephanie Mayer, Brittany and Ryan Kenney, Jayde and Austin Harris, Braeden Meaney and Noah Totman. She was the great grandmother of Peyton and Harper Mayer and Jackson Kell.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Monday at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church, Stoughton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday from 2-6 PM. Interment will take place at Gethsemane Cemetery, West Roxbury.
