Carol A. (Parker) Coffin, 75, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died unexpectedly at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Wednesday, February 8, 2017. Born in Whitman, she was raised in Halifax and graduated from Silver Lake Regional High School. Carol was a resident of Stoughton since the early 1970's. She was a self-employed housekeeper in the area for over 30 years. Carol was the President of the Ladies Auxiliary, AMVETS Post 1977 in Stoughton and was the Woman of the Year at the Post for many years. An avid bowler, she was active in multiple bowling leagues.
Carol was the mother of Steven J. Coffin and Michael Coffin and his husband Adam Rose all of Stoughton and Annemarie Costello and her fiancé Francis Farrell of Burlington and the late Mark F. Coffin. She was the grandmother of Ken and Kyle Costello. She was the sister of Richard Parker of Canton and is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was the former wife of the late Kenneth J. Coffin.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday, February 14 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday from 2-5 PM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
