Carmen J. (Jacinto) Barros, 93, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Friday, March 10, 2017. She was the wife of the late Manuel S. Barros. Daughter of the late Antonio and Clotilda Barros, she was born and raised in Flores, Azores, Portugal. She resided in Stoughton since 1967. Carmen was a machine operator at Ark-Les Switch in Stoughton for 11 years before retiring at age 62. Prior to that she worked at Corcoran Shoe in Stoughton for 7 years. She was a longtime parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton. She enjoyed gardening and loved the ocean.
Mrs. Barros is survived by her children, Horacio J. Barros, Maria Gloria Andrade and Jose M. Barros all of Stoughton. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday, March 14 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Monday from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
