Carl E. Andresen, 71, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died Monday, December 23, 2019, at his home, after a long period of declining health. Born in Norwood, he was raised and educated in Stoughton and was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1965. He was a former resident of the South End of Boston. Known as "Skip" or "Andy" to friends, Mr. Andresen was a Veteran of the US Army and served from 1968 until his Honorable Discharge in 1970. Carl returned home and continued his studies at Northeastern University in Boston. He worked in the Music Business for many years, as an Audio Engineer at Longview Studios in Brookfield and as a Musician. He was an accomplished studio musician and played on over 400 recordings with such bands as the Rolling Stones and the J. Geils Band. In his free time, he enjoyed music and spending time with family and friends.
Skip is survived by his sister Sandra L. Andresen of Stoughton and several friends, including Fred Munichiello, Shaun Sutcliffe and John McGlynn.
A Visiting Hour will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte 27) Stoughton, on Friday, December 27, 2019 from 8:30-9:30 AM followed by Graveside Services at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Ave., Bourne at 10:30AM.
