Buddy Lindenberg, 65, a resident of Stoughton, died unexpectedly at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Saturday, June 7, 2014. He was the husband of Kathleen A. (Wendling) Lindenberg. Born in Boston, he was raised and educated in Dorchester. He was a resident of Stoughton since 2009. Buddy was a Specialist 4th Class in the U.S. Army 25th Infantry and a Veteran of the Vietnam Era. He was a driver for Veteran's Taxi in Newton for the past 7 years. He was a member of the American Legion. An accomplished bass guitarist, his passion was music. He had a great sense of humor and will be missed by his family and friends.
In addition to his wife, Buddy is survived by his children, Sean Lindenberg of Quincy and Deborah Mahan of Plymouth, as well as his step-children, Steven Bunner of Hawaii and Kathryn Mann of Ohio. He was the grandfather of Ashlin, Jack, McKenzie, Jonathan, Ava, Natalie and Carly. He was the brother of Ruth Baskin of Dorchester and Jo-Ann Lindenberg of Quincy and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be offered in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, June 12 at 11 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Due to floral restrictions at the cemetery, donations in Buddy's memory may be made to Disabled American Veterans, 24 Beacon St., State House, Room 546, Boston, MA 02133.
