Bruce G. Corbett, 66, died Saturday, May 21, 2011 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston after a period of failing health. He was the Beloved Husband of Donna C. (Hill) Corbett. Born in Brockton, he was raised and educated in Stoughton and a graduate of Stoughton Schools. He was also a graduate of Curry College. Mr. Corbett was a resident of Easton for many years. Mr. Corbett was a Veteran of the US Army Reserves. Bruce worked as a Key Account Executive for Prince Pasta Company and for Borden Foods for many years, before retiring at age 62. Since his retirement, he has worked as a deliveryman for Bagnell Auto Parts in Stoughton. He was an avid sports fan of all of the Boston teams. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, golfing, tending to his roses and tomato plants and traveling to his home in Wells, ME.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two daughters; Lynda C. Corbett and Michelle D. McFarland and her husband Matthew all of VT. He was the son of Lawrence S. and Helen (Chisholm) Corbett of West Bridgewater. He is also survived by his sister Janice C. Ross and her husband Robert of West Bridgewater and his grandchildren, Kristina M. Hilliard, Nolan M. Hilliard and Audrey D. McFarland. He was waiting for the birth of his fourth grandchild in September.
Funeral Prayers and a Sharing of Memories of Bruce will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rte. 27) Stoughton, on Wednesday, May 25 at 11 AM. Visiting Hours will be held Tuesday from 4-8 PM. Donations in lieu of flowers in Bruce's Memory may be made to the Jimmy Fund, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445-7295.
