Bronislaus W. "Bennie" Boc, 91, died at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center in Providence, RI on Monday, July 23. He was the husband of the late Catherine G. (MacDonald) Boc. Born and educated in Chelsea, he was a resident of Stoughton for 50 years before moving to Ashburnham last year. Mr. Boc was an U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. He was a Quality Control Inspector for Raytheon for 26 years before retiring in 1980. Prior to that he worked for General Electric for 10 years. He was a lifetime member of the Polish American Veterans in Chelsea.
Mr. Boc is survived by his sons, Gregory A. Boc and his wife Christine of N. Scituate, RI and Donald F. Boc and his wife Lisa of Ashburnham as well as his grandchildren, Jonathan, Julie, Jennifer, Emma and Erin Boc. He was the brother of Stanley Boc and his wife Georgina of Weymouth, Estelle Andrews and her late husband Stanley of Dorchester and the late Wanda Dykas and her husband Joseph, Sophie Lehan and her husband Daniel, Josephine Gorman and her husband John and William Boc and his wife Rita. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, July 26 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday 4-8 PM. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Stoughton. Donations in Bennie's name may be made to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 169 George St., Pawtucket, RI 02860.
