Bradford W. Craig, Sr., 86, died at the Copley at Stoughton on Wednesday, February 28 after a period of failing health. He was the loving husband of the late Ann W. (Walent) Craig for 60 years. Born December 22, 1920 in North Easton to the late Franklin E. and Florence (Barry) Craig, he was a graduate of Oliver Ames High School in Easton. He was a resident of Stoughton for over 60 years and always had a smile and a twinkle. Mr. Craig was a World War II Army Veteran who served in all five major campaigns on the European front. He was a truck driver for Cambridge Packing, Simeone Co. in Stoughton and South Shore Meats for many years before retiring in 1998. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 2196 in Readville and the VFW Post 1645 in Stoughton. He was a former licensed pilot.
Mr. Craig is survived by his children, Judy Getchell and her husband Everett, Paul Craig, Michael Craig and Charles Craig all of Stoughton, Mary Craig of RI, Bradford Craig, Jr. and his wife Nancy of Raynham, Joseph Craig and his wife Linda of Freetown and Jane DeMello and her husband Henry of Rochester. He is also survived by his siblings, Ruth Horan of Sharon, Jeanne Daley of FL, Nancy Habermann of S. Yarmouth and John Flynn of Bourne, as well as 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his siblings, Dorothy, Dianne, George, Franklin, Richard, Robert and Donald Craig.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, March 3 at 9:15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:15 AM. Visiting Hours Friday 5-8 PM. Burial will be private.
