Blanca Sanchez, 85, a resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at home on Thursday, February 21 surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Jose Antonio Farietta. Born and raised in Colombia, she came to the United States in 1977 and settled in Cambridge. She was a resident of Stoughton since 1988. Mrs. Sanchez was a homemaker. Blanca enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cooking, spending time with her family and small day trips in Colombia.
Blanca is survived by her children, Jorge Arturo Farietta of Stoughton and Colombia, Cristina Farietta of Stoughton, Eduardo Farietta and his wife Maureen of Dedham and Julian Farietta and his wife Ana of Stoughton. She was the grandmother of Adriana, Jorge Jr., Thalia, Jillianna, Micaela, Valentina and Sofia Farietta. She was the sister of the late Emilia Gamboa. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Edilma Farietta as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Saturday at 11 AM. Visiting Hours prior to service from 10-11 AM. Interment will be private.
