Betty W. Foster

Betty W. (Smith) Foster, 83, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at Genesis Healthcare in Wolfeboro, NH on Wednesday, August 6. She was the wife of the late Edgar G. Foster, Jr. Born in Stoughton, she was a graduate of Stoughton High School. Mrs. Foster was a homemaker and also worked at Hit or Miss in Stoughton for over 10 years. She enjoyed playing Bingo, crafts, gardening and entertaining at her home.
Mrs. Foster is survived by her children, Janet E. McIntyre and her husband Michael of Lynnwood, WA, Stephen G. Foster and his wife Kathy of Chelmsford, Gail F. Kilroy and her husband Michael of E. Taunton, Matthew J. Foster and his wife Kim of Knox, IN, Beth A. Caddell of Brookfield, NH and Amy L. Raymond and her fianc John Graham of Sharon. She was the sister of Jeanne McCarthy of Newton, David C. Smith and his wife Shirley of Trinity, NC, Nancy Smith and her partner Maureen Sullivan of Billerica and the late James E. Smith. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, August 11 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday from 2-6 PM. Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations in Betty's memory may be made to the D.A.V., PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250.
