Barry M. Sullivan, 56, died Thursday, June 7, 2012 unexpectedly at his home after suffering a heart attack. He was the beloved husband of 32 years of Renee (Prolago) Sullivan. Born in Charlestown, he was raised in Canton and a graduate of Canton High School, Class of 1973. Mr. Sullivan was Sergeant in the U.S. Army, serving from 1975-1978. He was a resident of Stoughton for over 28 years. He was a Licensed Steam Engineer, 1st Class, for Tishman Speyer in Boston. He was an avid Boston Sports fan and in his free time, he enjoyed working on his house and a good beer. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and his beloved wife Renee.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Sullivan is survived by his loving children, Jonathan D. Sullivan of Stoughton and his fiancé Jennifer Curtin of NY, Jennifer R. Sullivan and her fiancé Erik Williams of Brockton and Michael T. Sullivan of Stoughton and his fiancé Abigail Sullivan of N. Andover. He was the Cherished and Proud Grandfather of Jack Williams. Barry was the devoted son of Grace P. (Pitts) Sullivan of Canton and the late Theodore Sullivan. He is also survived by his siblings; Patrice Fillebrown and her husband Alan of Canton, Cheryl Pooler and her husband James of East Bridgewater, Shawn Sullivan and his wife Rainy and Brian Sullivan and his wife Mariann all of Stoughton, Brendan Sullivan and his wife Christine of Randolph, Colin Sullivan and his wife Francesca of Norton and the late Priscilla Sullivan, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, June 11 at 11:30 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday from 2-6 PM. Interment will take place at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Due to floral restrictions at the cemetery, donations in Barry's memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
