Barbara I. Sprissler, 59, a longtime resident of Brockton, died unexpectedly at Brockton Hospital on Saturday, November 3, 2018. Daughter of the late Helen (Murphy) and Theodore Sprissler, Jr., she was born in Boston and raised in Dorchester. Barbara was educated in Boston schools and attended Brockton High School. She was a resident of Brockton since 1972. Barbara was a deli clerk at Shaw's Supermarket in Brockton for 18 years before retiring 2 years ago. An avid Boston sports fan, she also enjoyed classic horror movies and cooking but her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.

Barbara was the sister of Helen Sprissler and Joseph Sprissler both of Brockton and the late Michael Sprissler, Theodore Sprissler, Robert Sprissler and Christine Nordstrom. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.

Funeral Prayers will be offered from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, November 8 at 7 PM. Visiting Hours prior from 4-7 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara's memory may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284.
