Barbara A. Smith

Barbara A. (Walling) Smith, 77, died at Southeast Rehabilitation Center in Easton on Wednesday, December 31. She was the wife of John Smith, Jr. Born in Coolidge, Arizona, she was raised in the Dallas-Ft. Worth, TX area before moving to the Brockton area in the 1950's. She settled in Brockton in the 1960's before moving to Easton over 20 years ago. Mrs. Smith was the manager and co-owner of the Stoughton Social Club for over 30 years before retiring in the early 1980's. In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Smith is survived by her son, Jack Smith of Stoughton, as well as her grandchildren, Christopher, Bryanna, Jillianne and Alexander Smith. She was preceded in death by her children, Stephen R. Smith and Deborah A. Smith and her sister, Robbie Riener.
Graveside Service will be held at the VA National Cemetery, Connery Ave., Bourne on Tuesday, January 6 at 1:15 PM. Visiting Hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton prior to the graveside service from 10 AM-12 Noon. Donations in Barbara's name may be made to Hospice Services of Mass., 577 Main St., Wareham, MA 02571.
