Barbara L. (Baker) Silva

Barbara L. (Baker) Silva, 83, a resident of Taunton, died peacefully at Southeast Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in Easton on Wednesday, November 30, 2016. She was the wife of the late Oscar M. Silva. Daughter of the late George E. and Virginia B. (Philbrook) Baker, she was born and raised in West Bridgewater and graduated from West Bridgewater High School. Barbara was a resident of Taunton since 2013 after living in Stoughton for many years. She was a homemaker. She was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan who also enjoyed Bingo, trips to Foxwoods and playing cards.

Barbara is survived by her children, Richard O. Silva of Taunton and Katrina L. Brown. She was the sister of Esther G. Baker of Stoughton and the late Philip Baker, Elwyn Baker, William Baker, Shirley Balchunas, Donald Baker, Charles Baker, George Baker, Richard Baker, Robert Baker and Russell Baker. She is also survived by dear friends Jim and Ivy Weigold and Marlene Giammarco and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
