Barbara A. Martens

Barbara A. (Sullivan) Martens, 79, a longtime resident of Brockton, died at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital on Tuesday, February 4. She was the wife of the late Charles F. Martens. Born and raised in Boston, she was educated in Boston Schools. Mrs. Martens was a homemaker. She resided in Brockton for over 30 years. She enjoyed playing Bingo and trips to Foxwoods.

Mrs. Martens was the mother of Linda Washburn and her husband Alden of Carver, Laura Martens of Wareham, Joseph Martens of Taunton and the late Janet Martens. She was the sister of Arline Rowe of Bangor, ME. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Thursday, February 13 from 9-10 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Brockton.
