Barbara A. Carlson

Barbara A. (Smith) Carlson, 82, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at Heights Crossing in Brockton on Monday, October 5, 2015 after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Arthur E. Carlson. Born in Stoughton, she was a graduate of Stoughton High School. Barbara was a homemaker. She enjoyed summers in Wareham and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Carlson is survived by her daughters, Nancy E. Kezer of Easton and Jill M. Russell and her husband Paul of Stoughton. She was the grandmother of Jennifer and Shaun Kezer and Courtney, Brendan and Emily Russell. She was the sister of Joan DiMatteo of Stoughton and the late Robert "Buddy" Smith and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was the mother-in-law of the late William Kezer.

Funeral Prayers will be offered in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, October 8 at 11 AM. Visiting Hours prior from 10-11 AM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton. Donations in Barbara's memory may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284, in honor of those we love that are fighting, those who have fought, and those that continue to inspire us to keep smilin'!
