Barbara F. (Whiffen) Burley

Barbara F. (Whiffen) Burley, 87, died May 1, 2018, at her home after a period of declining health. She was the wife of 68 years of Leo F. Burley. Born and raised in South Boston, she was a graduate of Boston Schools. Mrs. Burley was a resident of Stoughton since 1961. She was a dedicated homemaker and mother at home with her family. Barbara was a longtime volunteer at the Stoughton Food Pantry and a longtime poll worker in Stoughton. In her free time, she enjoyed baking, walking, dancing and her sewing groups and spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, Barbara is survived by her children; Barbara A. Brucato and her husband Alan of NH, Leo F. Burley, Jr. of NV, Theresa Cardoso and her husband Joe of Stoughton and James F. Burley and his wife Carolyn of Halifax. She was the grandmother of Lynn Widger, Derek, Kevin and Kerry Burley, Nicole, Joseph Cardoso and his wife Samantha, Robert and Michael Cardoso, Matthew and Jonathan Burley and the late Tony Brucato. She was the great-grandmother of Joey, Brielle, Faith, Lilly, Troy, Travis, Jordan, Jaxin, and James Leo. She was the sister of the late Terry O'Hearn and Mary Connolly.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday at 10:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, at 11:30 AM. Visiting Hours Friday from 4-7PM. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
