Bach T. Tran, 81, died at 3:46AM, Sunday, May 6, 2018 at her home in Stoughton after a period of declining health. Born in Ben Tre, Vietnam, where she was raised and educated until 1948. Due to war, she and her two siblings along with her parents moved to My Tho and settled there most of her life. In 1954, she met her partner and had 9 children. In 1992, Ms. Tran reunited with her children in the United States and settled in Dorchester. She was a resident of Dorchester until 2005, at which point she moved to Stoughton. She was a dedicated homemaker at home with her family. While in Vietnam, she also owned a butcher shop and was a very successful business woman. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, working around her yard and watching Vietnamese soap opera.
Ms. Tran was the mother of Nguyet Tran and her husband Nhut Bui of Watertown, Suong Tran and her husband Thong Nguyen, Huong Tran and her husband the late Ha Quach of Methuen, Yen Tran and her husband Hau Le, Liem Tran and his husband Tom Holman, Jennifer Tran and her husband Truong Nguyen and Anh Tran and her husband Thao Tran all of Stoughton, Dung Tran, and Si Tran and his wife Trang Do all of France. She was the sister of Chau Tran of VA and Be Tran of France. Mrs. Tran was the grandmother of Minh Bui and his wife Diana Shi, Tuan Quach, Que-Tran Quach and her husband Hung Khuong, Que-Nhu Le and her husband Bach Nguyen, Lam Tran, Philip Tran, Cindy Tran, Alexis Tran, Arnaud Tran, Adeline Tran, Justin Nguyen, Vince Nguyen and Stacy Tran. She was the great grandmother of Paul and Elizabeth Bui, Minh Quach and Andy Khuong.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, from 10 AM-12 Noon. Funeral Services will be private.
