Aureliano Francisco Gomes

Aureliano Francisco Gomes, 63, a resident of Attleboro, died unexpectedly at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro on Thursday, December 26, 2024. Son of the late Antonio and Deolinda (Serpa) Gomes, he was born and raised in Lajedo on the island of Flores in the Azores, Portugal. He moved to Stoughton at age 21 and resided in Brockton as well before moving to Attleboro over 5 years ago. He was very handy and enjoyed repairing things around the house. He also enjoyed fishing, cooking and gardening in his free time.

Aureliano is survived by his daughters, Melissa M. Gallagher and her husband Thomas of North Attleboro and Amanda M. DuBeau and her wife Katherine of Brockton as well as his grandchildren, Savanna Gomes, Raelynn Green, Gabriella Gallagher and Jordan Gallagher. He was the brother of Gabriel Gomes and his wife Alcidia of Fresno, CA, Luciano Gomes and his wife Emilia of Flores, Portugal and the late Antonio Gomes. He is also survived by his former wife, Grace M. (Serpa) Gomes as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, January 2nd from 4-7 PM. Funeral Prayers will be offered in the Funeral Home on Friday, January 3rd at 11 AM followed by interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
