Audrey W. (McCarthy) Bowman

Audrey W. (McCarthy) Bowman, 87, died peacefully at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Thursday, September 8, 2016. She was the wife of Elmer S. Bowman for 64 years. Daughter of the late David O. and Abbie L. (Woodworth) McCarthy, she was born and raised in South Weymouth and graduated from Weymouth High School. Audrey was a resident of Raynham for the past 2 years after living in Hanson for over 20 years and Rockland for 25 years. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Bowman was a longtime member of the Pilgrim Chapter, Order of Eastern Star. She was an avid reader and collector but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Mrs. Bowman was the mother of Daniel S. Bowman and his wife Kathleen of Weymouth, Sharmane D. Levesque and her husband Bill of Raynham and the late David S. Bowman. She was the grandmother of Carrie Ann Blackburn, Katie Wilmot, Abigail Wolent, David M. Bowman, Brandon J. Joseph and Winston O. Joseph. She was the sister of David O. McCarthy of Pembroke. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Mary Bowman of Richmond Hill, GA, 24 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
