Arthur F. Silva, Jr., 58, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Monday, April 15 after a lengthy illness. Born in Stoughton, he was a graduate of Stoughton schools. Mr. Silva worked for the Local 4 Union of Operating Engineers for 15 years before owning A & T Taxi in Stoughton for several years.
Mr. Silva is survived by his daughter, Ashley A. Silva of Bridgewater, as well as his father, Arthur F. Silva, Sr. and his wife Mary (Feenan) Silva of Stoughton. He was the brother of Thomas Silva of Stoughton and Sue Dos Santos Pais of Brockton. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his son, Jonathan A. Silva and his mother, Patricia (Howland) Silva.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Saturday, April 20 at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Friday from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Central Cemetery, East Bridgewater.
